  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Preserved 1937 Birmingham Corporation Daimler no 1107 is seen here in 1976 on a special 'Golden Jubilee' run round the outer circle 11 route, which was then 50 years old. Yes, I know that's 32 years ago! The bus was 70 last year!
Where is it though? As it's easy I want the name of the road and the building behind.
 
just a guess Lloyd. is it yardley with the old yew tree pub. not very good at these so im prob wrong. wales.
 
The bus is parked on Lordswood Road just south of Hagley Road, Bearwood. The pub in the Kings Head.

Spot on, fatmark. Todays prize is a free entry in the outer circle marathon - it's 26 miles round and like the buses, you have 2 hours 10 minutes to do it.

I can't believe the buses do in that time these days, you can wait 2 hours for a blinking bus, when one comes they come in bunches. BANANA ROUTE
 
That was another lucky one - I drove past the Kings Head yesterday! I was glad to see it re-open after being boarded up for a while...

A handy hint for helping confirm guesses of photo locations, one I use a lot when working on my website - Google Maps satellite images are your friend! Check out this view of the photo location:-
