The tram runs to Stephenson St, outside the entrance to New St station. So service (line 1) is now working between Snow hill & New Street??

I do like the look of these new trams and the colour change was needed over the disjointed look.Midland Metro line 1 was extended to Bull Street by 2015, then to Grand Central outside New Street Station in 2016. Snow Hill Tram Stop was renamed St Chad's Tram Stop as it is close to St Chad's Circus and not really accessible from Snow Hill Station like the old stop was.
Tram 28 seen from platform 3.
Tram 17.
The line into the old Snow Hill Tram Stop remains derelict. Hopefully it will one day be restored as platform 4 of Birmingham Snow Hill Station.
ThanksA new app for private hire taxis. Bit like Uber I think.

Excuse my ignorance, but presumably the pod on the roof shows whether it is fitted with batteries or not.
My thoughts also, but how do the trams work when there is no overhead line or battery module on the roof ! What can't I see on my phoneExcuse my ignorance, but presumably the pod on the roof shows whether it is fitted with batteries or not.

Thanks, presumably somewhere along the route (not Somewhere along the Way by Billy Eckstein). it is going to be wireless (overhead) or are the batteries an emergency source of power...enough questions for now.Yes it's those things at the front and back of the trams.
Good point.Do we have any information on how many trams are battery fitted? I am assuming that some trams which are not battery fitted will have to continue to terminate in Stephenson Street for the time being with only some trams able to run to Victoria Square/
Good point.
I can't imagine that passengers would have to select the correct type of tram if the wanted to travel to Hagley road etc.
If passengers from Wolverhampton (and all stations before Stephenson st) wanted to travel to Hagley road, would they have to swop trams at Stephenson st?
When the line to Hagley road is complete will all existing non-battery driven trams be replaced or converted?
Does anyone know what plans the tram operator has?
