I am keen to find out more about my Great Grandfather William/Bill Wareing. A coal dealer in and around Balsall Heath before and a few years after WW1. He was born illegitimate in Kings Norton workhouse in 1866. No idea as to who his father was but it could have been someone surname Bates as Bill lived with the Bates family in his early years. Seems Mother disappeared ! Thanks
