Ward End buildings

Cocksparrow Hall.....St Margaret’s Rd, close to the Barley Mow. Built early 15th or 16th centuries as a gamekeeper’s cottage.

Come across 4 mentions of this, but no reference to where the info came from.

If i remember correctly while at school at Hodge Hill Comp, Bromford Lane police station was built on a council rubbish tip before becoming a Police Station, pre 1967/8, i stand corrected
HI, I went to Hodge Hill School ‘71-’77 and remember an issue one year with masses of flies due to building work around the site of the police station and it being pretty warm. I‘m sure it was pre ‘76 and that long hot summer.
