Vellumaires Ukulele Band

At my ukulele club in Worcester, there is a Buzz Busby, who used to be in the Vellumaires Banjo Band, playing round the Harbourne area in the late 1940s. Banjos, mandolin, ukulele, all sorts. Does anyone remember the band? Other banjo / ukulele bands?

During the late 40s to 50s there was a band called Troise and his Banjoliers, the reason i remember them is, while on holiday with my mum at Margate, (i would have been about 10) the band were appearing at a theatre there. My mum and i were staying in a guest house right opposite Dreamland and the pianist with the band was staying there too, my mum used to like to tinkle the ivories herself, and when the pianist finished at the theatre he came back to the guest house and it was party night, the guests had free entertainment that week, i remember on the last day of the holiday all the guests sat on the steps outside and we had a photo taken, i wish i knew where that photo got to.
