Unused railway "arm" in Digbeth.

Surely HS2 has to be track connected to the network somewhere in the area for maintenance purposes.
I notice the old Curzon Street on its own and the pub, which is said to be being demolished, in the photo.
As I mentioned, in the HS2 thread, Washwood Heath will be the servicing and maintenance depot.

The depot for the HS2 trains will be at Washwood Heath which is alongside the Birmingham Derby line. The permanent way depot will be somewhere north of Aylesbury and somewhere in the Lichfield area will be the connection to the West Coast Main Line pending the completion of HS2 phase 2 for onward connection to Manchester and Leeds.
