Tyburn road Garage

Frothblower

Lubrication In Moderation
I can see the old Tyburn road bus garage from where I live, now owned by Palletline.
If my memory serves me right there is the Birmingham coat of arms under that boarding? Is their any reason why it cannot be seen. It would be lovely to see it in all it's glory again.:)

I worked there from 85 till 91, and I can never remember seeing it.......but that doesn't mean it wasn't there.....in the early 70's Birmingham City Transport ceased to exisit....it became part of WMPTE.....the coat of arms may have gone then.....?

The coat of arms is indeed still there, boarded over. The words that used to be underneath (MOTOR OMNIBUS REPAIR WORKS) or rather, the letters that made the words, are in store at Aston Manor transport museum.

Well Done Lloyd and welcome to a great Forum because information like that is what makes it great:)
