  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Yesterday, trying to be clever and do three things at once, one of which involved using the remote, a sky model , which I dropped, caught, dropped and juggled before it fell on the floor. When I looked at the screen a black half insert with white writing came up, I did not look at it pressed something, do not knòw or what, the insert disappeared, but the writing on my screen was larger and the picture was larger as well to the extent you can no longer read the programme bars at the bottom. How do I get it all back to normal. Awaiting advice and instructions with bated breath.

When in doubt. Reboot.

1.Turn the power to the SKY box off for 30 seconds (i.e. unplug), and then again connect to power.

Still the same?

2.Remove batteries from the remote for 30 seconds.

Still the same?

3.There is a process to 'hard reboot' a Sky box. i.e. It downloads new settings from the satellite (can take several hours), but that shouldn't be necessary.

4.Quit juggling.
 
It sounds like you might have possibly altered your picture ratio.

On my sky remote it's - Services - System Setup - Picture Settings. I think for most tvs it should be 16:9.
 
Thank you gents tried both but no change and picture settings reads 16.9, ah well, I will pay the call out fee, but thanks for your help
