Trove Historical Archive

I found this site looking for old articles about Calthorpe Park. It's an archive of old Australian newspapers and such. I'm not sure if they keep material from other papers or they just have reports that their own papers picked up from the British press but they do seem to have a fair bit of material about this country. It's a collaborative effort and a lot of the searchable text is still just scanned material (lots of spelling mistakes) but they have planned this so that people can make corrections. The search facility seems to work without login. It's a national archive so the chances are the servers will be very stable.

Oh, and this is a couple of pages about the opening of Calthorpe Park in 1857
