Tram accident 11.11.1918

Does anyone please have any information on a tram accident that occured on November 11th, 1918 (Armistice Day) on Bristol Road?

My great grandfather (Jospeh Talbot aged 80) was knocked over by a tram and dragged for one mile by it up on Bristol Road. He died result of the accident in hospital on Boxing Day 1918.

This is all I know about it and wonder if anyone knew anymore about it.

I think it may have happened between Town and the Bristol Cinema as he lived in Ryland Road in Edgbaston.

Did he have an inquest (would be stated on his death cert) if so it should be available in the archives on the 7 th floor of Birmingham Central Library.

Mike
