Book: Tracing the History of your House by Nick Barrett

That is a good price - I didn't even know TNA sold books! Postage is a bit high for one item - off to explore what else they are giving away....

It is a very heavy book, Aidan so £3.50 p&p is worth it. The total of book + p&p would be £5.50 so it is still a bargain.

Just had a look at Amazon - best price was around £5-00 + £2-75 P&P. so TNA wins.

I know the exact address I want to find and I want to know previous occupants but each time I search in 'addresses' on the census search it come up 'no matches'. Can any one advise me? Please.....! (I know the correct spelling etc. and the road is till there so it should turn up something.)

Thank you for the help - I would like to have another crack myself. I must just be having a blond moment... or 5! I want to learn how to do it. Overwhelmed with the swift and friendly replies and offers of help. What an amazing forum I have found. Watch this space for tears and tantrums if I fail yet again.... :-D
