Tom Welch old crown and cushion

Karenandjeff

proper brummie kid
Hello
I am trying to find out more details about my daughter’s great grandad, Thomas Welch . Known as Tom or Tommy Welch . He ran the Old crown and Cushion early 1900s and the Custard House plus a few others. He organised many charity functions and boxing matches in the pubs. He himself was a renowned sportsman and boxer . He died 1946 in Perry Barr . If anyone has any information about him I would be very grateful .
Many thanks
Karen

Welcome to the forum Karenandjefff. hope you find it interesting and helpful.
Have moved this to the correct section. Again, could I please ask members to try and place their posts in the correct section, if possible, and not in General Discussion, which is for general, non historical birmingham matters
