I think the snow in the 200? year old photo would have contained quite a bit of horse muck, can't se any in the modern photos.
I got the shot on my posting from Google street view today, the building on the left is the same but mine did not have any snow
The locals must have been out with their shovels!I think the snow in the 200? year old photo would have contained quite a bit of horse muck, can't se any in the modern photos.
Definitely god leafed.Lets vote, as made or God leafed. Which one do you like? John Crump
It will look better when it has been weathered. To be fair the black and white photo is not really comparable to the recent coloured photo, though, to my mind, ......the present incarnation is rather garish, and resembles something from the Kardashians
A little over the top garish indeed, would be well suited in a Piazza with people who eat lots of pasta..To be fair the black and white photo is not really comparable to the recent coloured photo, though, to my mind, ......the present incarnation is rather garish, and resembles something from the Kardashians
Sorry Old Brit. We just voted in the UK and have had enough of elections. Hopefully we are safe for another five years.Lets vote, as made or God leafed. Which one do you like? John Crump

Today the buildings on the left still exist although somewhat changed.

A lovely couple of pictures the now one still shows a street with life, but I do wonder about the car facing backwards next to the bus.In the 1950s a mother and daughter push their prams across Wordsworth Rd at the junction with Coventry Rd.
