Just had this pic from a friend in the Czech Republic. It's not just our railways that encounter problems with snow!:D

Nice pic, but I suspect the snow may not have been the cause of the derailment. Did the two vehicles meet on a trailing point perhaps? Or was it just poor track plus something dropped on a rail and buried under snow?

Ahoj Peter,
Frozen points under the snow. The railcar on the left expected to continue ahead but turned out instead. Bad luck that another railcar happened to be passing. In another incident last summer a piece of ballast placed in the track groove of a country level crossing sent a similar railcar off down the road!. Fortunately there were no vehicles waiting at the crossing.
