I was afraid to touch you,
Your face looked so delicate
As we stood close together
On the porch.
Its light shadowing your face
Beneath your fur lined hood.
You looked at me with eyes
That said, Hold me close.
I took your face in my hands
And felt a shiver go through
Your body as it thrust itself
Forward. You closed your
Eyes and took in a quick breath.
Oh my darling I whispered.
A tear ran down your cheek
And your eyes opened wide,
And again I felt your body
Shiver. Was there more you
Wanted from me I thought.
Oh my dearest darling, are
You happy.
No, you replied as you took
Hold of my wrists and gently
Pulled away my hands from
Your face.
No, I said somewhat surprised.
No, Im not happy, your
Bloomin hands are freezing.
