The Mill House Turves Green

dek carr

gone but not forgotten
Chatting to a friend and have just been informed that the roof is off and a Supermarket is going in it,s place never been in there myself but it looked like a grand old pub. Dek

Hi Dek, unfortunatly its true, having laid empty for quite a long time it appears that the Co-op is turning it into a supermarket, even though they have 2 other stores very close by in Turves Green and West Heath, the local councillor Reg Corns has opposed the drinks license but knowing the big stores they will get their way.

Well another one bites the dust, the roofless Old Mill was demolished on friday (3/12/10).
We will have to turn an old pub into a museum soon as at this rate there will not be any left so future generations will know what pubs & pub culture was!

Turves Green I always wondered where it was when I saw the bus's with it on route card, I never really knew exactly which part of the city it was, but I kind of thought it was out kings norton way?
