Yes that's the location I remember. I thought it was located surrounded by demolished industrial units, but looking at the maps there appears to have been many houses around on the pub side of Crawford Rd, all demolished in 1967 when I remember the area.

Hi all, this is the only image I have seen showing Crawford st Saltley in the hope of spotting the gas house pub.

What year was cranby Street demolished. Used to live there till 1968.

Do any of you folks have any information, in particular photo's I can download of this street? Even the old gas works, any stories of the surrounding area. I was born there but have no pics. Couldn't afford cameras in those days! Anything before the old Victorian back-to-backs were pulled down...

It was listed as the Gas House Tavern in Kellys till 1971

Did you know a Barry Hobbs connected to the Gas House?

I remember the "Gas House", but was that it's real name ? if not there could be a photo.already posted under it's true name.

It was called"The Gas House" I my parents ran it for a short whilein 1964 to 1965
