  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

the cross guns.washwood heath

My wife Gwen and I ran the old cross guns in1973 it had 9 trading rooms it had a massive bowling green at the back its the one in the photo posted above by astoness and in 1973 they started to build a new pub on this land
We opened the new Cross Guns pub in December 1974
We ran the Cross Guns as managers for our employer Mitchell and Butlers until 1982 when we bought our own pub in Malvern Worcester
The Guns was a wonderful pub we have very fond memories
We worked as licencees till our retirement in 2002
