Thank you VERY much for this photo.I was born in Reynolds street in 1947 which was the first side road up Raglan Rd on which the Beehive was located.I can remember having my first pint of M&B mild around 1965.It cost 1/3 a pint.

Thank you for your reply.I was born in Reynolds St in 1947 and moved back to the new Reynolds Way with my mother before I got married in 1970.I can remember The Puffing Billy being built.I had a look around the area about 5 years ago and noticed that it was not looking good.

I was born in Reynolds St.I can remember a wool shop in Grove Lane that was owned by Rosie Lacy.
Three aerial photos of Raglan Rd area taken in 1935.
Photo 1 show Raglan Rd running from bottom right to top left. The Beehive Inn just visible behind the Cape Hill brewery chimney.

Photo 2 looks at the junction of Raglan Rd and Cape Hill. There are banners across Raglan Rd maybe for the Silver Jubilee in 1935. A tram visible on Cape Hill.

Another great pub just in shot on the right of this photo, "The Cape of Good Hope", as a young boy I remember waiting for my Nan at the door of the "Outdoor". Each time the door opened you could see a row of chairs for the older ladies as it wasn't the done thing to be seen in the Bar. One of the first pubs I had a pint in.
