  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

I can't find anything for B.G. Metals, it's apity there's no name for the cafe.
They are lovely photos, I have a feeling they are Ladywood too, lyn!

There is a thread headed Kellys directory 1973, post 11 has this photo and a full description, dates etc. I knew I had seen the picture before. But I found the answer using Google. I am not clever enough to be able to cross reference it more easily. If you put in Kelly's 1973, the Post concerned is halfway down the second page.

I am wondering if the school is Little Green Lane School. The view, looking to the right showing the building with the lower roof reminds me of LGLS from the Little Green Lane entrance. Perhaps there is a photo on the Forum of LGLS which could help confirm this. Then thought maybe BG could be Bordesley Green Metals... just a thought.
