St Peter's Dale End Lookups

Please, is it possible for someone to do a lookup for me? :excited:

Details as follows:
1867, marriage, George Parsons and Sarah Elizabeth Harrison
St Peter, Dale End

I'd love as much information as possible - dates of birth, name of fathers/occupations and whether living, and any middle names for George too. Any addresses would be great but as I've never seen a real live cert from back then, I don't really know what's on it!

All I have at the moment is a brief record from familysearch.org with only George and Sarah's names s anything more can only be a bonus

Many thanks in advance to anyone who's able to help

Oh dear I think I might have posted this in the wrong place, apologies if I have, I've only just joined the forum and I saw another post about a lookup on here and I got carried away

I have just seen the lookups forum! ;)

george parsons 26 fireman (railway) b. bham
sarah parsons 24 b. bham
frederick g parsons 3
elizabeth a parsons 9mths both b. bham

they were boarding with frederick harrison (which looks promising) aged 30 painter unemployed b. hinckley, leic and david harrison 28 gas works b. sheffield, yorks

Hi Shera, thank you for replying so quickly :)

Yes that is definitely them - those are her elder brothers they are lodging with. I have their census records up until 1901, after that only George is alive, so I need to find information from the 1911 census.

I'm hoping I can use the marriage information to work out Sarah's proper birthdate too as I have a feeling she might have married very young and her age changes from census to census

She died very young too, only in her 30s I think.

I think you may find that they died in infancy (Julia being about 6mths). Roman Catholic registers usually write in Latin and sometimes use the maiden name even if married. FreeBMD has the marriage and there is a certificate on Ancestry (your site?). What are you trying to find?

They were born in Ireland. I do not know what details a parish register shows. So I was wondering if any further data about place of birth.

Hope you find someone with access to the appropriate register and it gives some clues.

Tracing people back to Ireland can be fraught with difficulty. Sometimes you can get clues from the Census but in this case it just records "Ireland". Do you have certificates for the children and any visitors - maybe there are clues there if they went back for a visit?

Please could someone give me the details of the marriage between Elizabeth Crowder & William Johnson 19.10.1857 St Peter Dale End.
Think William may have been a widower, but details of fathers & witnesses would be much appreciated.
Marion

Please can someone help.
Can´t get to look at the records myself because I live abroad.

Hello Is this the family??

1871 RG10/3113 folio 93 page 15 Birmingham Warwickshire

38 court 6 house Livery Street
William Johnson transcribed age 37 got a black mark across it Porter all born Birmingham War
Elizabeth Johnson wife age 32 Pearl button maker
Elizabeth Crowder daughter mar age 22 pearl button maker
William Johnson son age 11
Mary A Johnson dau age 9
Amelia Johnson dau age 9
John Crowder son in law age 35 mar Porter

1861

7 house 7 court Dudley Street
William Johnson age 28 Porter
Elizabeth wife age 22 Pearl button maker
William son age 1

If correct family and age is correct William would have been only 16 when Elizabeth daughter was born unless he lied about his age when he married Elizabeth Crowder.
The marriage certificate would be the way to go . I have not found a marriage for John Crowder and Elizabeth Johnson

Regards Pam

Thanks Pam.
Yes that´s the family & the age of daughter Elizabeth is what´s puzzling me. That´s why I was hoping to get the details from the marriage which I´m pretty sure will be held in the archives at the library.
I´m pretty sure that John Crowder is Elizabeth Johnson´s brother & that they are siblings of my g grandmother Esther Crowder.
I haven´t found a marriage for Elizabeth Johnson & John Crowder either, but I know that Mary Ann & Amelia were Crowder family names. Also it looks like they are twins & I know that twins run in the Crowder family.
What a tangle.

Hi, the details for the marriage cert would be
Marriages Dec 1857
Elizabeth Crowder Birmingham 6d 177
William Johnson Birmingham 6d 177

Thanks Ladylinda.
I have the ref for the Elizabeth Crowder/ William Johnson marriage.
As it´s not my direct line I was hoping that someone could look at the records in the archives for me, so that I don´t have to buy a cert.
I live abroad, so there´s no possibility of looking for myself.
Having spent many happy hours in B´ham arcives in the past, I´m fairly sure that the info exists.

Hi
Does anyone have any info on the marriage of Henry Sheppard and Sarah ? Particularly parents names / residence
On 06 Nov 1876 Saint Peter Dale End, Birmingham, Warwick, England.
Many thanks
Dean

Can't pick up parents names on familysearch or Ancestry, but did a general search on Ancestry and looks likely that Henry was born in Middlesex, London and moved up to Birmingham, Sarah is always referred to as having surname Sheppard, even on marriage record and she was only 15 when they married and had a baby Mary listed as born in 1876 too. In the 1881 census, if this is the correct family, they were living at 7 back of 43 Barn Street, in St Martins district,Sarah was a button presser and he was a brass metal cster
Sue
If you can access ancestry (think the free 2 week trial is still on), there is a link to another persons family tree which lists Henry and Sarah, assuming that this is the correct ones, if it it, this person is loosely related to our family!
