St Paul's Church Bordesley Green

spooner

master brummie
I wonder whether anyone has a photo of St Paul's Church Bordesley Green as it was before the newer buildings were erected ?
I was christened there (just after ww2), and that was probably the last time I saw that church until very recently. I had my camera with me especially and was disappointed. I would love to see what it looked like.
Spooner:)

can anyone tell me where St Paul in Yardley is and i need a photo of it

Hi Katearthur :) I don,t know of a St Paul church in Yardley or Yardley Wood
Others may be along shortly to assist your Quest,,

What year(s) interest you? what relatives names/Marriage there?
& importantly what was their assocaited addresses of that time period?
I ask this due to "boundary" & Parish changes over the last 100+ years.
Is it R C or C of E ?

eg, We have family marriage 1874 at St Paul,s Church this was in
Worcestershire,,,, Balsall Heath (Which also came close to Yardley)
also over years close to Solihull & recently Sparkhill/Sparkbrook nr Yardley.
Put a little more info as suggested,,then may be better to locate,
Cheers JohnY

Hi Dave Ed

I too got married in St Paul’s Church, Belchers Lane, 23 August, 1969. The vicar was Rev. Pound.

I remember the Rev Pound. He was the vicar when I went to the Sunday School about 1955. It was very dreary and I changed to the Sunday School at Yardley Green Methodist chapel which has now been demolished.

St Pauls Mission Finnemore Road, appears now to have lost its bell. Later church belchers lane.
