  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

St.Georges Angling club

i would have thought that the club would have chosen a pub that was actually in the area of st george as there was plenty to choose from but obviously not.

I expect the angling club ceased to exist decades ago, Not sure of my Great Grandfathers first name but dads was Arthur Alfred so I guess it would be one or the other of those. The cup is totally hand engraved including the pattern but it has no makers mark or anything. if you flick it with your finger it rings like a bell and the sound lingers quite a bit.
