Interesting document Mike. The examples of trench orders were fine in theory, but in practice? I expec by 1917 many of these good practice examples had well and truly fallen by the wayside. Viv.
Except Viv that they are dated 1917, so presumably had been modified to suit conditions in the field. Though, on second thoughts, considering many people's views on the leadership of the British army in WW1, perhaps they hadn't !!
