Sparkhill League Champions 1918/19

Hi,
Many years ago my other half was digging for 'treasure' in Vine Street, Aston, and discovered a silver football medal, which he has kept to this day, always wondering about the history of it.

I wondered if anyone could throw any light on it.

The front shows 2 footballers kicking a foot ball and on the back, round the edge it is engraved Sparkhill League Champions, in the middle it looks like A. Wood 1918/19. It also has a sliver hallmark on the back.

It would be great to find out the history of it.

Thanks (in anticipation)

Mand
