  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

can anyone tell me if there was a fred smith maltings inbetween the vine and aston station on lichfeild road many thanks sidwho
 
In the 1890 Kellys, no 192 Lichfield Road is listed as Frederick Smith brewer, but in the trade section it is listed as a maltsters. Is shown in red on the c 1889 map

William Smith the Younger went into liquidation in 1877. Presumably this is the same family/brewery ? Viv.
