You'll have to take that up with Firefox. I use Windows Internet Explorer 9

I can't have IE9 being still on Windows XP.

Have upgraded Google Chrome, and Firefox is up-to-date.

Only use Firefox for the forums.

I understand that the Lapal Canal Trust is looking to re-open Lapal Canal into the Birmingham Worcester canal behind the old Birmingham Battery & Metal factory. The bridges are still intact where (now old) Harborne Lane goes over and the even earlier original Harborne Lane as you will see in this link.

I am not sure how the former junction pf the Dudley No 2 Canal and the Worcester and Birmingham Canal relates to the new road. A canal aqueduct was rolled into place across the new road sometime last year before the railway bridge was built at Christmas.

Would be good if they did restore the canal, a bit more history renewed.
How soon is the by-pass opening - haven't been to Selly Oak for about 2 years now, but remember it well from my training days and driving lessons!!

Nothing to do with the bypass, but a few pics of the railway bridges from Bristol Road in Selly Oak

This bridge always seems to get vandalised - more so since I took this in Dec 2009

The Birmingham West Suburban Line was orignially single track and the viaduct in ell's photo was the orignal line.
