Anthony shop was my Nan and Grandads, Frank and Ivy, my dad had dog called Rusty that lived there I think.Photo post 161 shows Anthonys shop on the corner of Scholefield Street.
As a young lad (about 7) I was bitten on the leg by a dog outside,whilst looking in the window,Mrs Anthony took me in and bathed my leg, and gave me some sweets,
pop, and crisps, I never found out who's dog it was.
Thanks Lyn, I am guessing that’s it, I know they moved to Shard end around 1967, always had a shop, my dad said they was richthey lived a long life well into there 90’s...hello and welcome darksy....how lovely for you to have found a photo of your nan and grandads shop

henry was a friend of mine. i knew him from 1958 when he had a yard at the bottom of Trever st.befor he moved. so i might have known your g/dad too by face....i do remember using the shop ..... i knew a family opposite.the shop in rocky lane. the ki**y's.
