ROAMING

wallyb71

master brummie
England was the place of my birth
Birmingham my home
Kingstanding was where I lived
From where I used to roam.

I roamed across the sea one day
To a place called Pennsylvania
This was in the USA
And I was just a stranger

I went to work
And bought some land
And built myself a home
But somehow wasn't settled
And I knew I would have to roam

So I roamed across the USA
From the east coast to the west
And ended up in California
Which is where I came to rest

I've been here now for 51yrs
And never more will roam
Because I became a citizen
And now this is my home

My wife and I are happy here
Our son is with us to
And though we are americans
We are also Brummies to

THE END.

WALLYB

NO MATTER HOW FAR WE ROAM, BIRMINGHAM WILL ALWAYS BE OUR HOME.
