Re: albert edward rivett

Have you found him in the 1901 census?
at 14 Cromwell Square, Lichfield Rd, Aston, with Father Frederick C Rivett, 26, born Gt Yarmouth, a gas purifier; mother Ellen E Rivett, b. Henley, nr Ipswich, Suffolk; sisters Ethel E. and Lilian M Rivett, both age 2, born Aston.

Re: albert edward rivett

I'll take a guess at the marriage, to Maud Cook, 2nd quarter 1921, Birmingham, vol 6d page 367.

Re: albert edward rivett

If that is the wife:
Children "Rivett" mothers maiden name "Cook", born Birmingham area 1923-38:
Sidney A Rivett, 2nd quarter 1923
Edwin G Rivett, 2nd quarter 1925
Leslie C Rivett, 1st quarter 1926
Paul A Rivett, 4th quarter 1930
Jean A Rivett, 4th quarter 1932
Maud I Rivett, 4th quarter 1935
Joyce E Rivett, 3rd quarter 1938

Some of them might be Albert's children.

Re: albert edward rivett

Steve
From the electoral rolls albert is listed on the absent roll in 1918, address 24 Lynton road and his army identification was 18078, Pte, 9th R War Rgt
He is still there in 1920 with Ellen Elizabeth Rivett , and Thomas & Emma Bradley.
In 1925 he is at 4 Queens avenue, Factory road, with William James & Annie Elizabeth Cook.
In 1935, 1939 and 1945 he is at 4 back 140 Wilton St with Maud Rivett, and in 1939 Annie Palser is also living there.
No mention in 1950

Here's his medal card - looks as if went to Afghanistan in 1919?
The address must be 1924, at a guess.
