I have been asked to paint an unframed watercolour of the restored Aston Tavern for the owner, Attached is the result, this is the only view I could obtain without the ugly M6 viaduct showingAston Tavern (2).jpg

Fantastic painting Eric, i love it, But, Hmm , what is happening at this wonderful hostelry ? mostly it is CLOSED, even on a Friday night !! the paintwork on the exterior looks like undercoat waiting to be finished !!.
I went with 4 friends to have a night at this pub.....and it was CLOSED... Please what's going on ? i understand the owner has income from other sources, so this ICONIC Inn may not be important, except for Match days when i understand it is 3 Quid to get in !!!!!!

According to their website they open at 10am and close at 7pm every day. They only stay open later for meetings and private functions.
