  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there was a Hospital in Raddlebarn Road i think came
under Selly Oak.My father was born there but on his Birth certificate it don`t say hospital it just says a number then Raddlebarn Road.

Yes there was a hospital in Raddlebarn road its Selly Oak Hospital

They very often just put a number rather than the Hospitals name

My Grandfather died in Western Road which was the Work House in them days but it only had the number and Western Road

Thankyou for the information and the site it is very interesting,My Father
was born in Raddle Barn Rd. in Aug 1922,maybe it had changed from a
Workhouse to Selly Oak hospital by then.
