Unable to send PM's, as soon as I start the text or enter subject title the recipients name vanishes, is there a general problem or is it just me ? Eric

I haven't had a problem today Eric. Has the person you are sending the PM to "allowed" a conversation? If you go to their name under their avatar it should say "start a conversation".

pjmburns, yes, astoness who I regular send PM's to, the other was Postie and have just tried it with you, still no success. Eric

hi eric i was hoping we had sorted out your problem last week but it seems not...cant understand what the problem is....i am just going to send a new pm to you..can you let me know if you receive it and that you can reply to me...lyn

Yes Lyn, have no problem answering pm's, just cannot start one, as soon as I start the text or type in the subject the recipients name disappears. Guess I will have to live with it. Eric

eric i have sent you a message..think i may know what the problem is

lyn

Eric could try logging in to the BHF from a different browser.
If using Chrome or Internet Explorer try a log in from the Edge browser and then try a PM.
There is no need to log out of the BHF with the existing browser while trying another browser.

My last problem was due to Internet Explorer (an old browser no longer covered by windows) so I now just use 'search' on my desk top. Eric

Eric, I think even if you are using 'search' there must be a browser running. Open 'task manager' to see what is running.
One quick way of running 'task manager' is
hold the Ctrl key and Alt key down and then press 'delete'
Then click on 'Task Manager' in the list which appears.
(there are many other ways of opening 'Task Manager')

Here is my task manager and I have Chrome and Edge and Zoom running - 3 apps + task manager.
