Does anyone remember a shop in Coleshill Street that sold Pies and Peas?
It was run by my Nan and Grandad during (I think) the 1920's until at least 1950.

Wed love to hear more about that Jan, and if you have any pictures we could put them up on the web for you?

Spoke to my Mum today who is 85 (it was one of her good days) and she told me their Pie Shop was called "Thompsons Pie Shop" in Coleshill Street, next door to "Thompsons Tobacconists". These shops were in the family (Thompsons and Eagles) definitely during 1930's if not before, right up to 1950's. My Mum lived at 36 Ryder Street at this time.

No photos I'm afraid.
