My husband's Grandmother was Phoebe Yates, born in Birmingham in 1872. When she was 18 yrs old she lived in Fleet Street, Birmingham. In the 1891 Census, when she was 18/19, she is registered as an actress. We don't know which Birmingham theatre she worked in. Her parent's names were Robert and Mary Yates. Does anyone have any information about her or her family?

Phoebe Yates married a Property Master, John Campbell, who was born in Birmingham in 1865. and lived in Nechells, Birmingham, when he was 26 yrs old. Once again we have no idea which Birmingham theatre he worked in, but one would assume it would be the same one as Phoebe Yates. His parent's names were John and Ellen Campbell. Does anyone have any information about his family?

Here's hoping
