  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Petrol pumps & filling stations of the past

does anyone still use a garage with a rubber pipe stretching across the forecourt that makes a bell ring when you drive over it:)
The state of NJ where we used to live is one of the few states that does not allow you to pump your own gas, there are are still a few full service stations (ones that do repairs) that have them.
 
Had one on my forecourt until 1988 and the guy I sold the business to kept it until he gave selling petrol about four years later.
