  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Great Grandma Pic 3 for webb.jpg ‘Pardoes Yard’, Church Walk opposite St Margaret’s Church, Ward End. There was double fronted house that had a sandpit at the rear. When filled in the land was rented out to Gypsy family’s in their caravans.

This is Mrs Pardoe with the goose, her granddaughter in the foreground and two Gypsy children to the right. You can see the caravans in the Gypsy background.

There was a man called Joe Dantey who live in hut in the yard, he was a bit of a local charter. The Pardoe’s also had a son who was boxed in the 1932 Olympic games and won a bronze medal.
