PAPUA NEW GUINEA

Look forward to reading it.

I had a friend who moved there in the early 1960's from England but we lost touch. :smiley6600: :)

Well, after finding out more detail about my father's service in New Guinea I am going back to the drawing board. I thought he fought on the Kokoda, but it seems he did not and only went to NG after that battle. I am at present trying to find out what his unit did in New Guinea and prior to that in the Middle East. So shelving my posting at the moment. Going to see the movie Kokoda on Tuesday though. I know dad was hospitalised after 5 months in NG with malaria and suffered from malarial attacks for years after. He was also 7 stone when he came back from NG.
