Our Lady of Lourdes, Yardley Wood

Hi Jim, thank you so much, yes it is the same photo but much clearer, and even more precious, than my photocopy. In terms of my accident I had a TBI (and coma) causing 'all sorts' including very significant retrograde and onterograde amnesia (not ideal learning material, lol), which is why I am interested in anyone with shared school experience/memories up to about 11. Interesting, perhaps, that I eventually decided that my professional doctorate and work would specialise on the impact of early trauma and potential resolutions. You mentioned Paul H. We stayed in contact for many years - decades. He had a very very troubled early and later life and eventually moved to London. My parents and I were very fond and protective of him and he would always visit us and eat with us. Unfortunately lots of trouble continued, he changed his name. The last contact we had was in our 30's. If you have ANY further photos of school times I would really appreciate seeing them. All the best

Jim - Its a slightly different pic. A few seconds earlier or later than the one I have. e.g John B third from right front row is looking to his right. In my pic he is looking straight at the camera. Fab.
I am the boy on the end of the back row on the left, next to David Dowling then it is you, Jim!

Hi Jim, you said you were interested in information about your school friend PH. You will see I have been able to offer some info which I hope was helpful, although not such happy news. I am not sure if you have looked back into this site as there has been no response. My hope was that you may have others stories about our school experiences, although you did not remember me. lol. It would be wonderful if you had dug into your school archives or whatever....and found a pictures of any of the children and / or teachers from our time. Thank you. Peter.

Hi Peter, Peter L? If yes, then I do remember, it took a while, with a little more time I’ll no doubt remember more. Unfortunately I have no more pictures. The only archive I have is between my ears, that occasionally bears fruit. Is that Paul, to father Murphy’s right? Jim

Hi Jim, yes I am Peter L. It was a long shot to hope you had further pics of our time in OLOL. I wondered if your mum would have kept something from her time as teacher there - not to worry. If you have any contact with other people from out time would be great to ask them. I wonder if girls keep more links to their school days? You are correct it is Paul H sitting to Fr Murphy's right side. If thoughts do come back to you please post if you have time. All the best.
