  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

The Minesweeper Aston Villa was adopted by the Aston and Lozells women's working parties.....HMS Aston Villa was completed in 1937 and was then requistioned by the Royal Navy in 1939. She was attacked by enemy aircraft on 3rd May 1940...at the time she was operating just of Norway, she was scuttled several hours later.
 
Thank you Loisand and Alf, I had no idea that a ship had been given such a marvelous name.

R.I.P. all who sailed in her and were lost at sea.
