Sugar, my husband was born in Dudley Road Hospital too but his birth certificate only says 'Winson Green', it's a family joke that he was born in the prison!

I was born at Sorento in June 1933
Is the Sorento still there? I was born at Dudley Road Hosp November 1947, before the national health days, it cost my mom and dad 7s 6p (7/6p) to have me I bet there was times when I was in my teens they regretted that. Talking about teens, I had my son, at the Sorento.

1966 vintage me, born at St Chads.

Still waiting for England to win the World Cup again and the mighty Baggies to win the FA Cup.

It closed in 1993. Has since been knocked down and, I think, there is a care home or retirement complex on the site.
Where I was born is a residence for alcoholics. It's sad when peoples' birthplaces are no longer some down to bombs others to so called progress.

Born Monroe Devis maternity hospital Stratford upon Avon. December 1950. Brought up in Sutton Coldfield.
