new poem

My daughter-in-law sent me this today.Jackie.

"This poem is sent to thank you for,
looking after baby Joe while my foot was sore.
It`s better now though, so you`ll no longer be,
required to babysit for silly old, invalid me.

I`m so grateful and always will be,
Cos you`re so good toMia, Joe Danny and me.
Count you blessings is what we`re told to do,
And I count mine regularly when I think of you.

And so my little ditty must come to an end,
Once more I must thank you, mum-in-law and friend.xxxx

:D A few well chosen words can make all the difference, those ones show how much you are loved and appreciated. :D

Christmas Carol
My Christmas Carol is for peace and goodwill
Plenty of seasonal food so you can have your fill
That all your wishes may be answered on the day
For all your efforts through work rest and play
And as you are filled with peace and content
Lets hope that all the goodwill as not been spent
Search around and find some one who needs joy
A small child who as no smile for the sake of a toy
Some poor soul who as been down on his luck
Seeking salvation or a hand out of seasonal tuck
All this peace and goodwill we have in abundance
Can we give them what they need, another chance
Our biggest fulfillment of joy we all can achieve
It is much better to give joyously than to receive
Let us see if we can keep it going all the year
A very merry Christmas and a happy New Year,

Wonderful sentiments, John. Let's all pray to our god or gods for a peaceful and loving Christmas. :)

just a thought of people who have a different Christmas lets not forget them this as been a very bad year for the people we have lost it would nice to give a thought for them and their loved ones

Christmas this year
What can we give you for Christmas this year
For those who have suffered with fear
Can you give me this year what I have lost
For lots of us have paid such a terrible cost
What can we give you for Christmas this year
Love ones have gone with only memories dear
Can you give love from those who have gone away
When you know that they really wanted to stay
What can we give you for Christmas this year
Can we give some time with out any fear
We have our memories of a happier past
And over these long years they will last
What can we give you for Christmas this year
What about no more sadness and plenty of cheer
Give us a Christmas we can really enjoy
Like the ones we had when either a girl or boy
What can we give you for Christmas this year
Christmas bells ringing out with joy to hear
Lets hope you can bring peace and goodwill
So we can enjoy a happy Christmas cheer
What can we give you for Christmas this time
We can give out good thoughts yours and mine
