Nechells Park Road ... 1932 memories

My great great aunt who is 97 remembers these shops in NP road
Eastmans butchers miss tippers sold cooked meats next was cycle shop Evan's then then the star fish shop. Newsagents ? On the corner general grocer hollier. Cross the road was villa tavern then mrs mansell the sweet shop then private houses and a telephone box over the railway bridge. Then private house up to chat away street.then there was hurcombe the chemist. Next was the park. Elliot street school. Round the corner to cuckoo road where bus terminus (number 43 bus).
Wimbushes ER fenn the butcher (ronnie) green grocer. Methodist Church then 4 houses and pub on the corner and swains petrol station and then Thompsons another newsagent then coop bread shop then coop butcher. And then big coop grocer store. Haynes greengrocer bullivants haberdashery Neal's newsagent
Cross over castle grove and little shop selling tablets and herbal medicines and that led to nechells green

i remember the shop next to the baths on the bridge.and most shops like Bullivants remained for years
