  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Not sure if this is in the right thread but thought it may be interesting to someone. In the Computer Active fortnightly magazine they include a page called Family Tree. In the current one it is about "Search Old Bailey criminal records. It is free and contains information concerning family members who have been involved in anyway in court proceedings there. whether it be as a criminal, a victim of crime or a witness. In the article they give an explanation as to how to use the site - www.oldbaileyonline.org Apparently there were 200,000 trials there between1674 and 1913 and court proceeding were recorded regularly.
