Mr Dixie, pub singer

Kevkonk

master brummie
One of my neighbours used to be a pub singer in the 60s and I wondered if anybody else can remember him. I remember him singing ‘You Can’t be true to Two ’ once in the Royal Oak in Erdington one Sunday afternoon.

No replies, so I guess he was not well known.
His son had a job every Sunday afternoon to polish his dad‘s shoes for the evenings.
I understand he used to sing in Working Class / Social Clubs in Birmingham, but not sure where, but he was dressed up to the nines for his gigs… He went by the name Mr Dixie…
