Middleton/Leaver

I'm descended from John Middleton 1809-1878 a Silversmith. According to his will he died at Calthorpe Hoyse Perry Bar, death certificate states Aldridge Road.
He had 5 children:
Jane, John, Margaret Ann, Sarah Ann, Walter, Eliza and Albert Rupert.
My link is from Margaret Ann who married Charles Leaver occupation Jeweller.

I'm trying to see if there is a link for the Middleton family to Strurges, Bladon & Middleton-Silversmiths.
The son John Middleton is listed in 1881 census as Electroplate Manufacturer employing 40 men.

I'd be grateful for any help
Regards
Steve

Welcome millersteve. I’m moving your request to our Surname Interests section.

I assume the John Middleton on the 1881 census is the brother of Margaret Ann, if so...

There's a report of a marriage in the Birmingham Journal, 15 Jul 1865 between John Middleton and Harriet A Eaves.

It says John Middleton, son of John Middleton, of the firm Sturge, Bladon & Middleton electro works...

Yes, I found that marriage and what you have told me confirms the link.

I'll search this week for that report and obtain the marriage certificate
Thank you very much
Steve
