memorial photo St Johns Perry Barr

Sparkhill Lad

While looking for my own family I came accross this memorial in St Johns Perry Barr, sadly same surname but not connected. I hope this information will help others.

The heastone reads:

In Loving Memory of

David Fellows
died April 7th 1874 Age 52

Also

Hannah Fellows eldest daughter of
David & Maragret Fellows
28th Agust 1868 age 24

a bit underneath states something about being interred at Whittington/witton cemetery, could this be Margaret. Unable to read this bit due to the stone being weather beaten.

The written text I have found on the web is:

FELLOWS David Reynold St Smetwick BURIED St Johns 12th April 1874 age 51

Sure the stone mason must be right with his age ?

Lets hope someone can claim this Fellows family, a nice piece of Family History. Thanks for taking the time to post it Sparkhill Lad.

I think the memorial reads - Wolverhampton Cemetery.

I know what an awful mess St Johns church yard is in, so well done for recording that one Sparkhill Lad.

thanks for your input Di, always welcome,
I did wonder about that last bit.
Just hope some time as Moma P says someone will find it useful
