Maypole Memories

Bus 1231 FOF 231 was introduced in late 1939 and withdrawn in 1952.
The original route 35 was introduced in 1936 for southbound services to Maypole prior to this having been to Maypole to Erdington route 17 and Erdington to Maypole route 35.
WW2 restricted the service to Maypole from the city retaining the route number 35.
In October 1949. after the ceasing of the Moseley Road tram routes, they were replaced by bus routes 49 and 50.
The bus appears to be in post war livery dating it 1946 - 1949..
