May 1940 Photo

gone but not forgotten
A photo from 1940 in front of my Grandparent's house in Turpfits Lane, I think the house number half hidden by my cousin's head was 183. Us kids looked contented enough but our parents and grandparents were probably wondering about Dunkirk etc.

Nice bike phill you even got the girl back then. I had a work pal who lived WITH HIS IN LAWS in the only bungerlow in that lane.His name TED ROBERTS.
 
Hi, Keith,The girl was my sister and you can see in this photo she had grabbed the driving seat. I now notice 'mansion polish' on the bricks round the doorway ! Phil
