Manor House, Stechford

Heartland

master brummie
The road system at what was the Manor House is undergoing a marked transformation.

The former public house was demolished a few years ago and it place taken by that growing industry, the car wash.

The Manor House was once a Stechford Landmark. Note the Deers Leap that was the Mitchell & Butlers trade mark.

I didn't realise that they had changed the name of the Bulls Head to the Manor House before they demolished it? I've always said that changing the name of a pub is sounding it's death knell.

Hi, I am new to this site, and have purchased a property on the new Manor House development, I don't suppose anyone has and more old pictures of this site or aerial views as I would like to have some classic pictures of the area when I move in to my new house? Many thanks, lee

There are several aerial views dated 1939 of the area on the 'britain from above' website and one of them below but probably just miss the site you are interested in.

In 1908 the Bulls Head stood on the site where the Manor House was later built. see it on the forum here
